Hi I am Belinda, I am a Yoga Teacher in North Kent with over thirty years of practice.  I qualified as a British Wheel of Yoga Diploma Teacher in 2002 so have over twenty of teaching experience covering all aspects of yoga, including all forms of posture work, pranayama, meditation and relaxation.  I am a qualified pregnancy yoga teacher and specialise in Pelvic Floor Health and post natal exercise.  I run foundation courses giving yoga practitioners a deeper understanding of the holistic practice of yoga, L4 Diploma Courses training people to become Yoga Teachers and I  train Yoga teachers to run Ofqual Regulated Yoga Teacher Training courses.

My teaching, practice and continued training have allowed me to develop an understanding of the needs of the people I work with.  My aim is to enable my students to live a happier, more confident and balanced life.  I take an intelligent approach to training, deconstructing postures to help you move forwards and cover all the practices in a way that enables everyone to accomplish both their physical and emotional goals.  I can help you focus on specifically what is needed to help you maintain consistency and achieve the best results possible.  This could be from managing chronic injuries, developing core control to creating better movement patterns or managing stress and anxiety.

Yoga is a safe, regenerative system based on a formula of stretching, deep breathing (pranayama) concentration and relaxation, providing us with a holistic system that compliments medical science and technology and builds a firm foundation of health.

The yoga postures (asana) exercise every part of the body, stretching muscles, joints, spine and the entire skeletal system.  They also work the internal organs, glands and nerves, keeping the whole body healthy.  Pranayama (breathing exercises) revitalize the body and help to control the mind, which in turn, can make you feel calm and refreshed.  Concentration, Meditation and Relaxation help to bring the body back into the rest and digest state of the Nervous System allowing us to adapt and deal with the ever increasing demands of life.  The underpinning philosophy of yoga allows us to create greater connections with ourselves and those around us.

My classes and 1-2-1 sessions will provide you with the opportunity to practice in a safe, nurturing environment allowing you to progress at your own pace in comfort and confidence, taking your yoga journey to the next level in a way that suits you best.

  5. Been attending Belinda’s classes since she started teaching and try never to miss! Drop in classes are excellent (and fun too!) for those who feel they cannot commit on a regular basis. This new website is great and inspirational.

  6. I have tried many different types of exercise classes over the years such as aerobics, gym, cycling, but due to family commitments and health problems have never stuck to them. Once I found yoga and Belinda in particular I have been a regular attender. I feel stronger both physically and mentally. I can honestly say I enjoy every class, not only for the exercises which are varied and stimulating but also for the happy atmosphere. Great website.
